My Spiritual Journey: Clara Granados

Every month, I will introduce you to someone I’ve met along my spiritual path who has inspired me. Meet Clara Granados. Clara is a life and corporate coach, and her goal is to help people find clarity and lead healthier lives. She helps corporations create healthy teams with better communication.

Tell us about your life's journey and what brought you to this place.

I always knew what I wanted in life: to be a dancer. I also love to teach and was a dance teacher for many years. However, I arrived at a moment when I needed a professional change, so I studied to be a coach. Then they found a structural problem in my hip, and I needed surgery. This was the final push I needed to change my life. I incorporate all my body knowledge in my coaching sessions.

What lessons have you learned along the way?

Many of them, but the most important is that we don't know how to listen to our bodies. I had all the tools to do it and didn't. The body is the first to experience good and bad news before our mind processes it.

The second is to really know which battles are the ones I should fight for. I should be focused on creating what I want and not starting an inner fight with myself.

And the third is to develop and trust my intuition and apply it to my daily life, business, work, etc.

Where does your happiness come from?

MYSELF, I generate and create the life I need to feel happy. For me, happiness is a state of mind, an attitude. No one besides yourself can put on the happiness filter to see your own life. Of course, we all have bad moments or things we need to manage and take care of, but anyone can create their dream life, and I can create the life I want. I'm still doing it.

What inspires you?

Nature, art, good conversations with friends. I love investigating what people can do to be healthier and guiding them there. And, of course, my family always inspires me. I love writing. It was an essential tool when I was a child and a teenager. I do it almost every day.

Who inspires you?

Personally, my husband, daughter, and son. Professionally, my mentor Laura Day. Sara Blakely, Jesse Adler, and Nazareth Castellanos (Neuroscientific). And I always welcome the wisdom of Deepak Chopra.

What gets you excited about life?

We are creators and can create lovely, beautiful, and valuable things to have better lives.

Can you share a breakthrough with us?

Sometimes we accept situations as something blocked in our life when we have the power to modify it. So do not complain, don't spit your "shit" out, and clean it. If you feel this is not your place anymore, move forward in the direction you think you need now.

One of my big ones was to say NO to others. Some people need to learn how to say yes, and some of us how to say NO.

What is your superpower?

Being a listener, guiding others to their clarity, kindness, intuition, and enjoying the moments.

How do you stay connected to your higher self and the universe?

I take care of myself and the life I love because if I don't, I will not be able to care for others. My higher self is connected to my wellness. If I want to help others increase their wellness but don't do it for myself … it will not be so effective.
