Wholeness Is Contagious
Being a healer doesn’t mean you have to have all the answers. It’s being there for someone during their tough moments and providing a bit of light and comfort when they need it the most.
I’ve come to realize that real healing happens when we let go of the urge to ‘fix’ people and instead help them reconnect with their true selves.
It’s so easy to get wrapped up in self-improvement—reading another book, trying the latest method, and pushing ourselves to become better. But after a while, this kind of progress can start to feel like running on a hamster wheel, always reaching for something just out of reach.
Then, someone special enters your life, and everything suddenly falls into place. It’s not just their words but how they carry themselves and listen without the rush to be anything other than themselves. In those moments, you begin to see yourself more clearly, like looking into calm, clear water.
To me, that’s the essence of enlightenment. Being in the presence of someone who has remembered their own wholeness, which in turn helps you remember yours.
I really feel this during my sessions with clients. They often start off feeling tense or heavy, but along the way, something changes. Their body relaxes, their breath slows, and the room fills with a peaceful quiet. It’s as if a bit of truth is coming home, and I can sense that almost imperceptible sigh of relief.
I’m not giving them anything extraordinary; I’m just holding up a mirror. In that reflection, they discover pieces of themselves they thought were lost.
The same magic happens outside those sessions, too, in friendships, love, or even moments of silence. We tend to love in others what we’ve learned to cherish in ourselves, and we naturally gravitate toward people who help us feel like ourselves again.
Sometimes we struggle with those who mirror back parts of ourselves we’ve kept hidden. But that’s not a sign of failure; it’s an opportunity to dive a little deeper.
So, if you’re feeling worn out from trying to become someone new, why not take a moment to pause? Think about who you are when you’re not busy performing or striving. And if you’ve already discovered a little bit of that place within yourself, remember that your presence can be incredibly healing.
You don’t have to put in extra effort. Just be yourself. There’s someone out there searching for a reflection they can finally recognize, and you might just be that for them.
