Guest Column: Supermoon on Fire

By Pia Wilson

Be careful not to butt heads with your loved ones when the full Harvest Supermoon takes to the skies on October 6, peaking at 11:48 PM EDT. It’s in Aries, so you may be cruising for a fight. Not necessarily fisticuffs, but a good, honest debate. Maybe. Your mind will be moving faster. Remember that refrain in Hamilton:

Why do you write like you're running out of time?

Write day and night like you're running out of time?

Every day you fight like you're running out of time

Yeah. That might be you.

You might crave excitement, something new. You’ll definitely want the sizzle more than the steak. Anything but being bored. Even if you’re home alone, you’re going to be figuring something out. Pioneering research … or maybe recipes. It won’t matter.

Aries is first into the breach. It accelerates. The pedal is to the metal. Of course, the first supermoon of the year is in Aries. It’s going to be the biggest and brightest full Moon of 2025. Of course it is. It would tell you that, if it could. It’ll have a good ego that moon.

The tides might rise a little higher to greet the Harvest Supermoon. But you, you should try to slow down a little bit. You’ll have a lot of energy, sure, but you will need to manage it. You should also slow down and look for the new thing that’s started. Look around and see where new ground has been broken.

Aries is ruled by Mars. When Mars tussles with the Moon, there might be some hotheadedness that needs at least two scoops of ice cream to negotiate peace. There could be some indigestion, acid reflux, and tension headaches. Feel your feelings, even if they’re petty and passive-aggressive. Sing a song. Write an angry letter and burn it.

The great thing about Aries is you might be easily angered, but whatever the problem is, you’ll get over it FAST.
